Do NOT Say This In Church This Weekend

payday loans LENDERS ONLINE

We hope you talk a lot about Jesus, grace, forgiveness, and following Christ. But we hope there’s one thing you DON’T say in church this weekend.

If this is your first time here, we don’t want you to give.

I understand the sentiment behind not wanting to offend first time guests, but this isn’t true. If a billionaire guest was attending your service, you would hope and pray that he would give something. Furthermore, giving isn’t just for your church; generosity is good for everyone. The bottom line is you DO want guests to give.

Let EVERYONE in attendance know that the offering is a time for people to support the mission and vision of your church.

What do you think about this?

I like the idea, but see both sides.

I guess you could say to the first timer to give if and only they feel led at that time….

And I like the idea of explaining every time WHY giving is important and to whom it applies.

    Good Stuff as always Casey….

It’s not just about getting the money from everyone who attends. We can’t be focused on the amount people are giving or only see it as dollar signs.

Giving is an act of worship, an act of obedience. We should be praying that everyone who attends worship will worship fully and that includes by giving of our tithes. To exclude someone from giving, excludes them from a chance to be obedient and a chance to worship.
